Peace.
In the Bible, this word is used as a form of greeting, wishing one another good tidings if I may say.
Peace is the state of mind in which one has no troubles plaguing his or her mind. And even if they may be present, he or she does not let them consume them. In other words they choose to believe that such things are only temporary and will not last always. They choose to believe that to there is someone greater than all their trials-GOD.
Peace is also where a situation is resolved to ensure the well being of others such as war times where treaties are signed to ensure peace on both sides of parties signing the agreement.
Peace is such a good thing for everyone because without it life can be miserable. If we could all strive to live in peace with one another, the world would be a better place I believe. Where neighbour does not have to start up a fight with the other over small things.
Romans 12
[18]If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Peace is mentioned as one of the fruits of the Holy spirit. How can a christian confess to be one if they live in strife with everyone?
Are we even at peace with who God created us as or to be? Are we at peace with the realisation that he sent his only begotten son Jesus to die for our sins? How can we relate to the source of this peace if we do not subscribe to the cause?
Philippians 4
[7]And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
